RedSeal's new CEO, Bryan Barney, will discuss
Bryan brings RedSeal 30 years of experience in enterprise-grade commercial software and 18 years in cybersecurity. He has led organizations through massive growth, from early stage to IPO and beyond.
Before joining RedSeal, Bryan led Symantec Enterprise Security Group through a transition from traditional security company to cloud services organization as GM and SVP. Prior to Symantec, he was SVP and GM of the Network Security Group at Sophos where he expanded the network security business and helped the company go public. Bryan also spent 13 years at McAfee, serving as EVP and head of product development for a broad security portfolio.
Bryan holds a BS in electrical and electronics engineering and an MBA, both from Brigham Young University.

Caitlyn Ruth McClellan

Caitlyn Ruth McClellan - Recognized industry leader in business development and enterprise acquisitions.
Caitlyn joined FCN in 2015 and currently supports the IC and the Department of Defense. During her tenure she has personally managed over $100M in software, hardware, and services acquisitions. Caitlyn holds expertise and in-depth knowledge in selling, managing, and implementing high performance technology solutions to the Federal Government. Caitlyn pair’s FCN’s powerful resources with her own professional skills to provide a high level of service and maintain successful relationships within many high-profile federal accounts. Prior to FCN, she spent time at various reseller organizations honing her skillset and her trademark passion for supporting the US Government.
Outside of her career, Caitlyn actively supports various industry organizations and charitable causes, such as AFCEA International and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. In addition, Caitlyn is an avid community theater enthusiast, having performed in close to a dozen musicals in recent years. Caitlyn holds a bachelor’s degree in music from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.

Christine brings to RedSeal more than 26 years of experience in direct sales and sales team development. Before joining the company in 2013, she led sales teams in federal, public sector, and service provider organizations in technology companies including Cisco and Verizon. In just three years at RedSeal, she contributed more than $30 million in revenue.
Christine holds dual BAs in Business Communications and English from Loyola University and attended the University of London with a focus in Mass Media and Journalism.

Dr. Mike LloydChief Technology Officer
Dr. Mike Lloyd has more than 25 years of experience in the modeling and control of fast-moving, complex systems. He has been granted 21 patents on security, network assessment, and dynamic network control. Before joining RedSeal, Mike Lloyd was Chief Technology Officer at RouteScience Technologies (acquired by Avaya), where he pioneered self-optimizing networks. Mike served as principal architect at Cisco on the technology used to overlay MPLS VPN services across service provider backbones. He joined Cisco through the acquisition of Netsys Technologies, where he was the senior network modeling engineer.
Mike holds a degree in mathematics from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, and a PhD in stochastic epidemic modeling from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland.
Howard Whyte
CISO, Boeing
Howard Whyte is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of The Boeing Company and vice president of Boeing’s Information Security organization.
Whyte, who started with Boeing in March 2020, is responsible for the protection of Boeing’s information and computing resources globally. He manages the function’s overall strategy and operation, including cyber controls; threat and identity management; cyber security services; security assessments, architecture and integration – enhancing the security of Boeing’s products, services and infrastructures.
Prior to Boeing, Whyte worked for more than 20 years as an executive leader of information technology and security in the federal government, military and private sector.
He came to Boeing from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), where he was the Chief Information Officer and Chief Privacy Officer. He served as an advisor to the chairman, board members and senior executives on all strategic issues relating to information technology, including governance, investments, program management, strategic planning and security. Earlier, he was the CISO at FDIC and worked to reduce cybersecurity risk by implementing an around-the-clock security operations center and incorporating threat intelligence into security operations.
Previously, he led the Threat Management Center at Goldman Sachs, focusing on cybersecurity detection, protection, response and recovery on a global scale. He also served as the CISO and deputy CISO at NASA, where he provided direction and future vision on a wide range of information technology solutions for mission and corporate systems.
Earlier in his career, he was a senior information officer in the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command and the Defense Information Systems Agency; a telecommunications manager at Interim HealthCare; and an information management officer in the U.S. Army.
Whyte holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies from the University of Maryland and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Kurt Van Etten joined RedSeal in August 2015. Prior to RedSeal Kurt was Director of Product Management for Symantec’s Data Center Security offerings, where he delivered security, risk, and compliance solutions. Previously Kurt served as the Director of Risk Product Management at PayPal responsible for developing solutions for Identity Risk, Merchant Risk, Resolutions and Protections. Kurt also was Director of Information Security Programs at eBay with responsibility for the Network Security and Risk & Compliance teams. Additionally, Kurt has held positions at Motorola and as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.
Kurt holds an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University, a Masters in Engineering Management from Northwestern University, and a BS from the United States Naval Academy.
Landon Brock

Landon Brock is a RedSeal Product Manager. With over 10 years of information technology experience Landon is instrumental in guiding product solutions and strategy as well as evangelizing the RedSeal platform. Prior to joining RedSeal, Landon was a consultant and project manager at IBM, managing IT Strategy, Design, and Data Center Migration projects. Landon was a Signal Officer in the U.S. Army running Network Operations in Afghanistan as well as holding assignments providing IT support to units in Germany and Iraq.
Landon holds a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Military Academy, an MBA from Brigham Young University and an MPA from Bowie State University.
Rick Howard
CSO, Senior Fellow and Chief Analyst @ The CyberWire
Rick is the Chief Analyst, Chief Security Officer, and Senior Fellow at The CyberWire, a cybersecurity podcasting network. His prior jobs include the Palo Alto Networks CSO, the TASC CISO, the iDefense GM (A commercial cyber threat intelligence service at Verisign,) the Counterpane Global SOC Director (one of the original MSSPs), and the Commander of the U.S. Army’s Computer Emergency Response Team where he coordinated network defense, network intelligence and network attack operations for the Army's global network. He was one of the founding players that created the Cyber Threat Alliance (an ISAC for security vendors) and he also created and still runs the Cybersecurity Canon; a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for cybersecurity books. Rick holds a Master of Computer Science degree from the Naval Postgraduate School and an engineering degree from the US Military Academy. He also taught computer science at the Academy from 1993 to 1999. He has published many academic papers on technology, security, and risk and has contributed as an executive editor to two books: “Cyber Fraud: Tactics, Techniques and Procedures” and “Cyber Security Essentials.”

Mr. Lloyd has over 28 years’ experience in information technology with the last 18 years directly focusing in cyber security. Mr. Lloyd ran data center operations for 10 years in the intelligence community and 12 years conducting Blue and Red Team assessments of mission systems within the intelligence community. Mr. Lloyd has been with RedSeal for 7 years and is engaged in strategic customer projects including Cloud, Data Center Migration / Network Consolidation and Risk management, Mr. Lloyd specializes in identifying the cyber strategies needed to effectively secure the client infrastructure as a whole.
